Description

Contemporary artist Mr. Brainwash pushes the pop culture envelope from the street to the big screen to art galleries worldwide. French-born filmmaker Thierry Guetta took on the moniker of Mr. Brainwash after moving to Los Angeles. In 2006 he set his video camera aside and attacked the streets with stencils and posters of beloved icons, becoming renowned in the burgeoning street art scene alongside Banksy and other brinkmen. Desirable collector’s items, his works attract thousands of visitors to his solo exhibitions. Playful and colourful with a hint of mischief, each work is a journey through his pop culture wonderland. Featuring critical essays by art historians, this illustrated volume is the artist’s first full publication.
