Thomas Becket, the best-known of all English saints, is an essential figure in the story of Canterbury Cathedral. He was buried in the Cathedral, and the site of his shrine has been venerated throughout the ages.
Other titles published by Scala for Canterbury Cathedral include: Canterbury Cathedral: Short Tour, Geoffrey Chaucer, The Red Dean and Stained Glass of Canterbury Cathedral.
Christopher Harper-Bill is Professor of English Literature at the University of East Anglia, specialising in the ecclesiastical history of England from the Norman Conquest to the eve of the Reformation.
